%X This data includes Landsat data of the Fildes Peninsula in Antarctica. NASA's Landsat program (formerly known as the Earth Resources Technology Satellite ERTS before 1975) has launched 8 satellites since July 23, 1972 (the 6th failed launch). Landsat1-4 all failed one after another, and Landsat5 was retired in June 2013. Landsat7 was launched on April 15, 1999. Landsat8 was launched on February 11, 2013 and began obtaining images after 100 days of testing and operation
