Important areas for water conservation in China mainly include the source of the Tarim River in the Kunlun Mountains, the source of the Yarlung Zangbo River, the source of the Heihe River and Shule River in the Qilian Mountains, the source of the three rivers, the source of the Heilongjiang River, the Songhua River in the Changbai Mountains, the source of the East Liao River, the source of the Hailar River in the north of the Daxing'an Mountains, the source of the Xiliao River in the south of the Daxing'an Mountains, the source of the Luanhe River, the source of the Weihe River, the Han River, the Huai River, the source of the Jialing River, the source of the Pearl River in the Wumeng The source of Beijiang River and water conservation areas in Dabie Mountain, Nanling and other areas. The Yellow River basin areas in this data set mainly include: Henan Province (Sanmenxia City); Ningxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture (Shizuishan City); Shaanxi Province (Weinan City); Gansu Province (Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Lanzhou City); Sichuan Province (Aba Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture); Qinghai Province (Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture).
