A total of 222 hours and 23 minutes of data acquisition work were carried out by the SRTM system carried out by the space shuttle Endeavour of the United States. The 9.8 trillion bytes of radar image data with an area of more than 119 million km2 between 60 degrees and 56 degrees south latitude in North America were obtained. The data set covers more than 80% of the earth's surface, covering the whole territory of China. It took two years to process, and finally a global digital elevation model (DEM) with plane longitude of ± 20 m and elevation longitude of ± 16 m was obtained
