65 strains of marine psychrophilic bacteria were isolated from the samples of intertidal sandy sediments from Zhongshan station, Antarctica, China. According to the phylogenetic analysis of its 16S rDNA full-length sequence, the isolated strains were divided into 29 genera, including α - Proteobacteria, γ - Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, actinobacteria and Firmicutes. 14 of them are potential new taxa. These results indicate that there is a diverse bacterial community in the intertidal sandy sediments of Zhongshan station, Antarctica, China. This data set is the data of culturable bacterial diversity of intertidal sediments from the 23rd expedition to Antarctica in 2007.
