Datasets description

  Shizuishan hydrological station is located at the junction of Ningxia and Inner Mongolia autonomous regions on the main stream of the Yellow River, and Binhe Avenue, Huinong District, Shizuishan City, Ningxia Autonomous Region. It is a national basic hydrological station and an important hydrological station, a national key flood reporting station, an important control station and provincial boundary section on the main stream of the Yellow River, as well as a control section for the unified regulation of water volume of the Yellow River and a key monitoring section for water resources protection. Observation items include water level, flow, sediment concentration, large section, water temperature, ice condition, etc. This data set is the daily flow observation data of Shizuishan station during the ice flood period from 1956 to 2018. The water inflow of the station during the ice flood period is calculated through statistical analysis. This data set contains an excel file with two columns, one is the year, and the other is the water inflow in the ice flood season.

Data source description

 The data of this data set are all the data of the hydrological station observation data after statistical analysis and calculation. The daily flow of the hydrological station is observed in strict accordance with the requirements of the national hydrological station observation specifications. The flow measurement equipment mainly includes the navigation phased array ADCP, SSZ ultrasonic sounder, handheld GPS flat-panel locator, intelligent flow recorder, flow meter, current meter, sounding rod, etc. The daily flow data of source data comes from the hydrological Yearbook published every year and is purchased from the Hydrological Bureau of the Yellow River Water Resources Commission.

Data processing method

  The daily average water volume in ice flood season is calculated by using the daily average flow in ice flood season, and the daily average flow is accumulated to obtain the water volume in ice flood season.

Data quality description

  The daily flow data is measured by the professionals of the hydrological station, which is officially published after verification and compilation. The calculation of water inflow is calculated by professional technicians and adopted after verification and review.
