This data set contains the observation data of vehicle mounted dual polarization Doppler radar arranged in the eighth management and protection area of Minle County Forestry Bureau in the middle reaches of Heihe River (with complex underlying surface and transition zone characteristics) from May to July 2008. The observation content is 250m × High quality continuous estimation data of dual linear polarization Doppler radar every 10 minutes on 250m horizontal grid. The observation site is Liuba (38.73 ° n, 100.45 ° e, 1668m above sea level), Ganzhou District, Zhangye City, Gansu Province. The observation time began on May 20, 2008 and ended on July 5, 2008.
The purpose of the observation test is to explore the method of joint observation and inversion of surface precipitation type and intensity by radar in high and cold areas, and establish a systematic and continuous radar observation data set. For specific performance indexes of dual polarization Doppler weather radar, please refer to the description document in the data.
Performance index of dual polarization Doppler Radar: radial resolution of 150m, azimuth resolution of 1, volume scanning of 10 ~ 22 layers, scanning cycle of 10 minutes. Polarization information such as Zh, ZDR and KDP can be obtained at the same time.
