Based on the typical grassland and Hailar grazing sample land in Xilin Gol League of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, this data set is divided into three grazing intensities: light grazing, medium grazing and heavy grazing, and the soil microbial biomass data of various lands are obtained. This experiment provides basic data for studying the effect of grazing on grassland soil microbial biomass.
Attribute information includes: OTU (microbial taxon).

The sampling points of each grassland type are spaced at an interval of about 50 km. The sampling points are randomly selected from the open terrain, and the soil samples are obtained according to the soil depth of 0-10 cm, 10-20 cm and 20-30 cm.
Soil microbial data were tested in Beijing ovison Technology Co., Ltd. through Illumina miseq 300 PE platform.
High throughput sequencing has high accuracy.
